What we store, why we store it, and how to get rid of it.

The short version

We store the interests you pick, the things you save, and which products got clicked. That is what makes the recommendations work. We do not sell it, and you do not need an account for most of the site.

Cookies we set

  • fn_vid — an anonymous visitor id. This is what lets your interests and saved items work without signing up. It is not linked to a name or email until you create an account.
  • fn_user — your signed-in session, if you have an account.
  • fn-theme — light or dark preference. Stored in your browser only; never sent to us.

All are strictly functional. We do not run third-party advertising or analytics trackers.

What we record

  • · The interests you select, so your feed can be ranked
  • · Products you save, compare or set a price alert on
  • · Which products were viewed, clicked out, kept or skipped
  • · If you have an account: your email, name and a hashed password

Passwords are hashed with bcrypt. We never store them in a readable form and cannot recover one for you.

When you click out to a store

We log the click so commission can be attributed, then send you to the retailer. From that point you are on their site under their privacy policy, and they will set their own cookies. We do not receive your payment details, ever.

Deleting your data

Clearing your cookies detaches you from your anonymous visitor record. If you have an account and want it and its history deleted, email us and we will remove it. There is not yet a self-service delete button in the account page — it is on the list.

This is a plain-language summary of how the product behaves, not legal advice, and it will need review by a lawyer before launch. See also the affiliate disclosure.
